Living Atmospheres
16 effectsAurora
Northern lights with layered sinusoidal color curtains and vertical striations.
Blob Cursor
Soft, overlapping glow blobs that trail the pointer with smooth lag—organic cursor motion without image masks.
Ephemeris
A reactive dot grid that ripples and scatters on cursor contact.
Filaments
Glowing thread strands drifting in loose sine waves, palette cycling along their length — emission-only light, no decoration layered on top.
Ink Warp
Marbled domain-warped noise—tint with hue/sat/brightness and tune warp and flow.
Interference
An organic, slowly writhing abstract field generated by a tiny baked CPPN (a fixed-weight micro neural network evaluated per pixel — no textures, no loops), with layered warp waves, pan, chromatic aberration, retro pixel-block split, CRT bend, and a cursor "poke" ripple.
Magnet Lines
A full-viewport grid of short lines that all swing to face the cursor like iron filings around a magnet.
Neural Mesh
Dense node–link field: proximity mesh reads triangular, depth-softened glow—neural net / chain energy.
Pulse
Radial pulse waves through a dot field—click to emit, optional auto pulses, cursor proximity tint.
Ripple
A raymarched, braided field of glowing light tuned flat and wide so it reads as flowing, foaming water rather than a vertical column.
Smear
A raymarched 3D torus silhouette whose outline widens into a genuinely blurred, pulled/stretched smear near the cursor and stays a crisp hairline everywhere else. Optionally tiled into a grid, with animated subtractive grain and a stroke colour. Transparent background — an alpha mask meant to sit over other content.
Splash Cursor
Cursor strokes splat dye into a real-time fluid sim — pressure-projected, vorticity-confined plumes that curl and fade like ink in water. Rainbow dye or a three-color palette (the Liquid Ether look).
Topo Lines
Near-black field with thin topographic contours—concentric rings warped by noise, like tree rings or a terrain map.
Tunnel
Flying down an infinite grid tunnel — the camera travels continuously through four infinite floor/wall/ceiling planes, walls scrolling past seamlessly. The cursor leaves a vibrant trail stamped onto the tunnel surface: hold it still and the forward travel alone paints a long line, move it and the trail curves into a fading noodle. Simplified from the source component, which wires up webcam face-tracking and a bloom/chromatic-aberration postprocessing pass — both off by default and dropped here. The source’s scan-line sweep was tried and dropped entirely — it read as a decal bolted onto a static scene and didn’t survive the move to a travelling camera plus cursor trail.
Vessel
Ink sealed in a glass orb — cursor currents swirl the ink and keep swirling after you leave. Fluid feedback field + refraction and rim light.
Wave Form
Dense parallel strands following a shared flowing ribbon—gradient silk bands with soft additive glow (Stripe / hero-wave vibes).
